Experience Highlights
About This Tour
Köprülü Canyon National Park sits in the Taurus Mountains inland from Side, roughly a 1.5-hour drive from the coast. The area around Beşkonak and the Köprüçay River is one of Antalya's best-known spots for rafting and outdoor activities. If you want to get away from the beaches for a day, this is where Side's holiday scenery quickly turns into pine forest, canyon walls and fast-flowing mountain water.
The Side Super Combo brings four activities together in one day. You start with around 14 km of rafting on the Köprüçay River, followed by a Jeep safari through the forest tracks around the canyon. There is also a quad bike section through off-road terrain and a 700-metre zipline crossing the canyon. It is a busy day, but that is exactly the point: rather than spending the whole excursion doing one activity, you get to see and experience the Köprülü Canyon area in several different ways.
The practical side is straightforward. Hotel pickup and drop-off from Side are included, along with lunch, a professional guide and the required safety equipment. You do not need previous rafting or quad biking experience. Before each activity, the instructors explain what to do and stay with the group during the experience.
There are a few things worth knowing before you book. The Köprüçay is mountain water, not warm Mediterranean water, and the river can feel surprisingly cold when you first get in. The quad section is a proper off-road ride, so expect dust, mud and a bit of getting dirty rather than a smooth sightseeing drive. The zipline is also weather-dependent; strong winds can affect the operating conditions or the length of the ride.
For families, couples, friends and first-time adventurers staying in Side, this is a good choice if you want an active day rather than a relaxed sightseeing trip. The drive inland is part of the experience too: within a couple of hours of leaving the hotels around Side, you are surrounded by the Taurus Mountains and the Köprüçay valley instead of the Mediterranean coast.
What's Included
Itinerary
Morning collection from hotels in Side and Manavgat between 09:00 and 09:30 in air-conditioned coaches. Pickup is at the hotel main gate. The coach waits 15 minutes — please be ready on time.
Around 1.5 hours from Side to Köprülü Canyon. Your guide runs through the day's plan and safety rules on the way. Coaches are comfortable and air-conditioned.
First activity on arrival: a one-hour Jeep safari along forest paths, dusty tracks and canyon viewpoints. A dry way to explore the canyon before getting on the water.
Straight after the Jeep comes the quad ride: about 40 minutes of single-file riding through the dusty, muddy trails of the Taurus Mountains. You can ride solo or two-up. Helmet and life jacket included.
Riverside lunch under the trees between activities. Grilled chicken, rice, salad and bread are included. Drinks are extra — keep some cash handy.
After lunch, a roughly 30-minute briefing before the river. Safety rules, paddling commands and how the rapids flow. Helmet, life jacket and paddle are handed out here.
The 14 km rafting run on the Köprüçay starts. Expect about 90 minutes to 2 hours on the water with exciting rapids, calm stretches, swim breaks and water games. The water is cold at the start — be ready. Your guide steers the raft; you paddle.
The day's last activity: a 700-metre zipline crossing the canyon. A different perspective on the whole area from above. On windy days the ride can be shortened or closed for some participants.
Transfer back to Side takes around 1.5 hours. Drop-off at your hotel around 18:00–18:30.
Good to Know
The Köprülü Canyon trip is one of the most popular day excursions from Side, but a few things are worth knowing before you go. The Köprüçay is around 12–14°C even in summer, so the first dip can be a real shock; neoprene suits are available to rent for around €5. The transfer from Side takes about 1.5 hours, so be ready at your hotel on time as coaches do not wait more than 15 minutes. The zipline is weather-dependent and may close in strong winds, while children have stricter rules. The usual order is Jeep safari, quad, lunch, rafting and finally zipline — keeping the dusty activities dry before the rafting and ending with the canyon crossing.

Really good day out from Side. The rafting was great and the river scenery is beautiful. Quad biking was more muddy than I expected, but that made it more fun.
Four activities in one day is a lot, but everything was well organized. Our guide was friendly and kept checking that everyone was okay. Lunch was simple but good.
Rafting was definitely the highlight. The water is cold when you first get in, so don't be surprised. Jeep safari was bumpy and dusty but good fun.
We were a little unsure about the quad bikes because we had never done it before. The instructor explained everything clearly and it was actually very easy to follow.
Nice change from spending another day at the beach. The canyon and river are beautiful. Zipline was short but the view from above was worth it.
Booked this with friends and we all enjoyed different parts. I preferred the rafting, while the others loved the quads. Good option if you want an active day.
Pickup from our hotel in Side was on time and the whole day ran smoothly. Bring shoes you don't mind getting wet and dirty. The river part was excellent.
Great experience overall. There is quite a lot of driving and waiting between some activities, but the canyon itself is beautiful and the rafting was really enjoyable.
First time doing rafting and quad biking, so I was a bit nervous. No need to be. The instructors were patient and explained everything before we started. Would do it again.
