About This Tour
This is a classic Turkish hammam experience organised from Side and the surrounding resorts of Manavgat. After hotel pickup you are taken to a traditional bath house where you receive the full sequence of treatments that have been part of Turkish culture for centuries.
You begin with time in the sauna and steam room to open the pores and prepare the skin. Then comes the signature part of any real hammam: the kese scrub. A rough mitt is used on the warm marble platform to remove dead skin cells. It can feel firm, but most people find it deeply cleansing rather than uncomfortable. Immediately afterwards comes the foam massage – warm olive-soap foam is worked over the body in long, rhythmic strokes. This is the moment many first-time visitors remember most.
A short aromatic oil massage follows, then a simple face mask. You finish with tea in the relaxation area before the return transfer to your hotel.
The whole experience usually lasts between two and a half and three hours, including transfers. It works well at the beginning of a holiday because the scrub leaves the skin clean and ready to take the sun more evenly. It is also a good choice on a quieter day when you want something calm after beach time or sightseeing.

If it is your first hammam, ask the attendant to start the kese a little gentler. Most people get used to the pressure within a minute or two, and the foam massage that follows feels completely different. Sitting on the seaward-facing side of the marble is not relevant here – just relax and let them work.
