About This Tour
I've been fishing these waters for over 20 years, and I can tell you that the Mediterranean off the coast of Side is one of the most productive fishing grounds in Turkey. When you join our Side fishing trip, you're not just going for a boat ride—you're joining a real fishing expedition led by people who actually live and breathe this sport.
We depart from Side Harbour early in the morning, usually around 08:30, when the sea is calm and the fish are most active. Our boat is equipped with a professional sonar fish finder, which means we don't just guess where the fish are—we actually see them on the screen. This technology, combined with our local knowledge of the underwater structures, reefs, and drop-offs, gives us a significant advantage in finding active fish.
The fishing itself is done with professional rods and reels, all provided by us. You'll be using techniques like bottom fishing and light trolling, depending on what species are biting that day. The Mediterranean here is home to sea bream, red mullet, barracuda, bluefish, and occasionally even tuna or mahi-mahi during the warmer months. Our crew will show you exactly how to handle the equipment, where to cast, and how to reel in your catch.
What I really want you to understand is that this isn't a tourist show where we pretend to fish. We're out here to actually catch fish, and we move locations throughout the trip based on what the sonar tells us and what the crew observes. If the fish aren't biting in one spot, we go to another. That's how real fishing works.
Around midday, we'll have lunch on board. If we've had a good catch, our crew will prepare the fish right there on the boat—grilled with some olive oil, lemon, and herbs. It's one of the best meals you'll have in Side, trust me. If the catch isn't enough for everyone, we still serve a delicious traditional Turkish lunch with pasta, salad, and chicken.
The trip usually ends around 13:30 when we return to Side Harbour, and then we transfer you back to your hotel. By the end of the day, you'll have real fishing experience, great photos, and hopefully a nice catch to be proud of.

A useful thing to know: the morning bite is usually the most active. If you want the best photos, sit on the starboard (right) side of the boat as we head out. The morning light is perfect, and you will get a beautiful view of the Side coastline fading behind us.
